Relief of acute non-infectious conjunctivitis (edema, congestion) and anterior segment inflammation (such as anterior uveitis) and postoperative inflammation
This medication is used for acute non-infectious conjunctivitis with severe edema and congestion, allergic keratitis, non-infectious inflammation of the anterior segment (anterior uveitis, episcleritis, scleritis), and inflammation occurring after strabismus surgery, cataract surgery, and glaucoma surgery.
Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 2-3 times a day. For adults, during the first 24-48 hours, instill 1 drop every hour.
This medication should not be used by anyone allergic to specific components. It is also advisable that pregnant or nursing women refrain from using this medication. It should not be used by patients with an eye infection, especially those with infectious keratitis or conjunctivitis. Patients with glaucoma or dry eye should avoid this medication, particularly those with Sjögren's syndrome. This medication should not be used if there is damage to the cornea or ulcers, or if there are viral, bacterial, or fungal infections. It should not be used in children under 2 years of age. Careful use is required for patients with metabolic diseases such as heart disease, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, and diabetes. As there may be interactions with other medications, it is essential to inform healthcare professionals of any current medications being taken. When using this medication, temporary irritation or congestion in the eyes may occur, so caution is advised. Long-term use may lead to increased eye pressure or severe side effects such as cataracts or corneal damage. Users of soft contact lenses should avoid wearing lenses during treatment. When administering, care should be taken not to let the tip of the container touch the eyes to prevent contamination, and sharing of the medication should be avoided. This medication may temporarily blur vision, making it safer to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until vision is clear. Children and patients taking specific medications may experience systemic side effects and should be used even more cautiously. In the case of an overdose, issues may arise in the heart or central nervous system, so immediate consultation with a healthcare provider is necessary. Store the medication in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and ensure it is out of reach of children.
