Additionally, hypersensitivity reactions such as cardiovascular collapse, loss of consciousness, angioedema, difficulty breathing, rash, hives, and itching may occur, necessitating discontinuation upon onset of these symptoms. Transient burning or irritation, discomfort, redness, itching, foreign body sensation, blurred vision, tearing, dryness, and pain may occur in the eyes; in rare cases, severe corneal damage or serious skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, requiring immediate discontinuation. Hearing impairment or irritation symptoms may appear rarely. Long-term use of this medication may lead to the development of resistant bacteria, and excessive growth of fungi or insensitive bacteria, so prolonged use should be avoided, and if secondary infection occurs, alternative treatments should be considered. This medication has not been proven effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), so if MRSA infection is clear and symptoms do not improve, stronger anti-MRSA agents should be used. Especially for elderly patients or those using steroids concurrently, the risk of inflammation or rupture of tendons in the shoulder, hand, Achilles tendon, etc., is increased, so use should be discontinued if symptoms of pain or inflammation develop. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits of treatment are judged to outweigh the risks, and breastfeeding mothers should either discontinue breastfeeding or stop using the medication. Safety and efficacy have not been established for infants under 1 year of age, so it should not be used. This medication should only be used as eye drops, and care should be taken to ensure that the tip of the container does not come into direct contact with the eye. To prevent contamination from shared use, use should not be shared with others as much as possible. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool place. Additionally, to maintain quality, it should not be transferred to other containers.
