Prevention of Vitamin B1 deficiency and improvement of neurological disorders (neuralgia, peripheral neuropathy)
This medication is used to prevent and treat Vitamin B1 deficiency. It is also used as a supplement in special situations such as consumptive diseases, hyperthyroidism, pregnancy, or breastfeeding, where intake of Vitamin B1 may be insufficient. It is effective for neurological and cardiac disorders associated with Vitamin B1 deficiency, such as Wernicke's encephalopathy or beriberi heart disease. It may help with various symptoms suspected to be related to Vitamin B1 deficiency, including neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia, peripheral neuropathy, and myocardial metabolic disorders, but it is important not to use it for prolonged periods without purpose. This drug is used to improve various symptoms associated with Vitamin B1 deficiency.
As fursultiamine, usually 5 to 100 mg is injected subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously in adults per day. It should be adjusted appropriately according to the symptoms.
This medication is provided in the form of glass ampoules, so care must be taken when opening the ampoule to avoid contamination with glass fragments. Extra caution should be taken when used in children and the elderly. Patients who have had an allergy to this drug or any of its components should not use this medication. Careful administration is required for patients with a history of hypersensitivity, and it is important to closely monitor for adverse reactions. Serious side effects such as shock may occur infrequently, so if symptoms like low blood pressure, chest pain, or difficulty breathing occur, administration should be immediately stopped and appropriate treatment sought. Moreover, hypersensitivity reactions such as rash or symptoms like nausea, vomiting, stomatitis, diarrhea, headache, or frequent urination may occur, so usage should be discontinued if these symptoms arise. To reduce vascular pain during intravenous injection, the injection speed should be as slow as possible. To prevent microbial contamination, unused portions of the solution should not be reused. When opening the ampoule, it should be held with the indicated part facing upward and lightly pressed on the opposite side to ensure a clean break, and the top of the ampoule should be cleaned with alcohol swab to prevent foreign substance contamination. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children, and it is safer and better for quality maintenance not to transfer it to other containers.

This medication should be stored in a sealed container to protect it from air and light exposure. It is also recommended to store it at room temperature between 1 degree Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius.
