Patients scheduled for surgery should discontinue this medication and consult with healthcare personnel. Mild gastrointestinal discomfort, headaches, and allergic skin reactions may occur while taking this medication; consult a doctor if any abnormal symptoms arise. This medication is not a treatment for hypertension; therefore, patients with high blood pressure should not attempt to treat high blood pressure with this medication.
