Precautions

This medicine can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should not be taken by pregnant women or women who may become pregnant. This medication should not be administered to patients with severely impaired liver function or some genetic lactose intolerance, and caution is required for patients with hyperkalemia or severe renal dysfunction. Caution should be exercised when using this drug in elderly patients, patients with excessively low blood pressure, or those with heart or kidney problems, as there is a risk of a sudden drop in blood pressure, and blood pressure should be monitored frequently. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Taking this medication in conjunction with potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements can lead to dangerously high potassium levels in the blood, so it is best not to combine them. Occasionally, serious allergic reactions such as angioedema, where the face, lips, or tongue swell, can occur, so if these symptoms arise, stop taking the medication immediately and seek medical attention. It is important to regularly check blood pressure, kidney function, and blood potassium levels during treatment to ensure there are no abnormalities. In case of overdose, hypotension and bradycardia may occur, so if symptoms appear, visit a medical facility immediately for appropriate treatment. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid taking this medication, and if it is unavoidable, they must consult a doctor. This medication is not administered to children, especially those under 6 years of age or children with severe renal impairment.
