This medication helps to relieve symptoms of gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers, as well as eroding and ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is also used for the long-term maintenance therapy of gastroesophageal reflux disease and enhances treatment efficacy when used in combination with antibiotics for patients with gastrointestinal ulcers infected with Helicobacter pylori. It is effective for specific conditions such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome characterized by excessive gastric acid secretion. Thus, this drug is used to improve symptoms and treat various gastric-related diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer: Typically, 10 mg is administered orally once daily, with the possibility of increasing to 20 mg once daily depending on symptoms. Mild side effects

Rash, itching, hives, blood abnormalities (reduction in red blood cells, reduction in white blood cells, etc.), elevation of ALT, AST, ALP, γ-GTP, LDH, total bilirubin, hypertension, myocardial infarction, electrocardiogram abnormalities, migraine, fainting, angina, palpitations, tachycardia, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, bloating, indigestion, belching, nausea, oral ulcers, dysphagia, gingivitis, pancreatitis, vomiting, headache, insomnia, anxiety, dizziness, convulsions, drowsiness
