Improvement of symptoms and reduction of inflammation in endocrine disorders, rheumatic disorders, and allergic diseases
This medication is used to treat a variety of endocrine disorders, rheumatic diseases, collagen diseases, edema diseases, allergic diseases, severe infections, blood disorders, gastrointestinal and liver diseases, respiratory diseases, brain and nerve diseases, skin diseases, and ophthalmological and ENT diseases. For example, it is effective for endocrine abnormalities such as chronic adrenal insufficiency and subacute thyroiditis, rheumatic diseases such as chronic rheumatic arthritis, and collagen diseases such as lupus erythematosus. It is also used for edema diseases such as nephrotic syndrome, bronchial asthma or allergic diseases, blood disorders such as acute and chronic leukemia, localized enteritis and chronic hepatitis, and tuberculosis diseases. It is applicable to various inflammatory and infectious diseases including encephalitis, peripheral neuritis, eczema, uveitis, and otitis media. This drug is widely used for the relief and treatment of symptoms of various diseases.
Administer Hydrocortisone at a dose of 10–120 mg per day, divided into 1 to 4 oral doses. Adjust according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be used in patients with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to this medication or its components. It should not be administered to patients with infections or systemic fungal infections as it may suppress immune function and worsen the infection. It is also advisable not to use this medication in patients with viral infections such as herpes simplex, shingles, or chickenpox. In cases of tuberculosis or keratitis, this medication should be used cautiously due to the risk of worsening infections. Patients with specific conditions such as cataracts, hypertension, electrolyte imbalances, thrombosis, peptic ulcers, mental illness, osteoporosis, or glaucoma may be at increased risk of severe side effects while using this medication, so caution is necessary. It should be cautiously administered to patients undergoing surgery or requiring wound healing, as it may impede healing. Patients with diabetes, renal failure, congestive heart failure, hypothyroidism, cirrhosis, or severe myasthenia gravis may experience a worsening of their condition when using this medication, so it must be handled carefully. Elderly patients or those with specific family histories are also at higher risk for side effects and should be monitored closely. This medication can exacerbate infections, so symptoms of infection should be carefully monitored during administration, and withdrawal should be gradual, as sudden cessation may lead to withdrawal symptoms like adrenal insufficiency. Additionally, this drug can interact with other medications, so those taking other drugs should consult a healthcare professional. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should carefully consider the use of this medication due to possible effects on the fetus or newborn. When administered to children, the minimum dosage should be utilized and growth should be monitored closely to avoid side effects such as growth retardation. In the elderly, side effects related to infection, diabetes, and osteoporosis may occur more easily, so special caution is warranted. Regular check-ups and symptom monitoring are very important during the use of this medication, and any abnormal symptoms should be reported to healthcare providers immediately.

This medication is sensitive to light, so it should be stored in a tightly closed container that is protected from light. Additionally, for maintaining the drug's effectiveness, it is advisable to store it at room temperature between 15 to 25 degrees Celsius.
