Rosataplus Tablet

Adult dose

Take one tablet of Losartan Potassium 50 mg / Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily. The maximum dose is one tablet of Losartan Potassium 100 mg / Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg once daily. It can be taken regardless of meals, and the dose may be adjusted according to blood pressure control status. In patients with renal impairment, the standard dose can be given if the creatinine clearance is 30 mL/min or above. It is not recommended for patients with liver impairment.

Child dose

There is no experience in using this medication in children and adolescents (under 18 years old), therefore it should not be administered.

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, particularly in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It is contraindicated in patients with certain allergies, severe kidney or liver disease, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, and patients with specific electrolyte imbalances. Caution is advised in patients with hypotension, impaired kidney function, a history of liver disease, gout or high uric acid levels, and the elderly, and interactions may occur when combined with other medications, so consulting a physician is necessary. During treatment with this medication, dizziness or drowsiness due to blood pressure lowering may occur, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. This medication can alter potassium levels in the blood, so potassium supplements or potassium-containing salt substitutes should not be taken without consulting a physician. There may be an increased risk of skin cancer, so it is important to avoid sun exposure and report any skin changes to a doctor immediately. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolyte status through blood tests is necessary during treatment, and consultation with healthcare professionals should occur if unusual symptoms arise. Caution is also needed for breastfeeding women, and the decision to continue breastfeeding should be discussed with a physician. This medication should not be administered to children and adolescents, and it should be stored out of reach of children.

Serious side effects

Hives, severe swelling (edema), tightness in the chest, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash accompanied by high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, shortness of breath, asthma attacks, respiratory distress with cough and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, vision changes, paralysis, urination changes

This medication should be stored in a container that prevents light and allows for good air circulation, at a temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. Storing it this way helps maintain the medication's effectiveness.
