During treatment, side effects such as diarrhea, loose stools, dry mouth, and fatigue may occur. Liver function may be affected, so if liver enzyme levels rise or jaundice symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Allergic reactions such as rash, hives, and swelling may also occur, and blood tests may show eosinophilia or leukopenia. Gastrointestinal symptoms reported include abdominal bloating, oral numbness, nausea, vomiting, and taste abnormalities. There may be symptoms related to the nervous system such as increased heart rate, dizziness, and headaches, so caution is needed. If gastrointestinal symptoms do not improve after taking this medication for more than two weeks, it is recommended not to continue long-term use. When taken with anticholinergics, the effect of this medication may be reduced, so doses should be spaced out and taken with caution. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks, and it is recommended to avoid administration during breastfeeding or to discontinue breastfeeding. It should be administered with caution to children and the elderly, and in the elderly, care should be taken with renal or liver function decline, adjusting the dose if adverse reactions occur. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and not transferred to other containers. Animal studies have reported an increased tumor incidence with long-term high-dose administration, so caution is needed during long-term use.
