Adult dose
For gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers: Usually, 10 mg of rabeprazole sodium is administered orally once a day for adults. Depending on symptoms, 20 mg can be administered orally once a day. It is administered for up to 8 weeks for gastric ulcers and 6 weeks for duodenal ulcers. For erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: 10 mg or 20 mg is administered once daily for 4 to 8 weeks. If the symptoms do not improve after 8 weeks of treatment, additional therapy may be necessary.

This medication is used to treat gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers, and helps relieve symptoms of erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is also used for long-term maintenance therapy of gastroesophageal reflux disease, and enhances treatment effects when combined with antibiotics for gastrointestinal ulcer patients infected with Helicobacter pylori. It is used in patients with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome as well. This medication protects the mucosa of the stomach and esophagus and suppresses acid secretion, improving various gastrointestinal disorders.

How to take

Adult dose

For gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers: Usually, 10 mg of rabeprazole sodium is administered orally once a day for adults. Depending on symptoms, 20 mg can be administered orally once a day. It is administered for up to 8 weeks for gastric ulcers and 6 weeks for duodenal ulcers. For erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: 10 mg or 20 mg is administered once daily for 4 to 8 weeks.
