Adverse reactions such as diarrhea, dry mouth, and fatigue may occur during the use of this medication. Very rarely, serious hepatitis or liver dysfunction, and jaundice may occur; if such symptoms arise, use should be stopped immediately and a doctor should be consulted. Symptoms such as rash, urticaria, edema, changes in blood levels, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and headaches have also been reported. If symptoms do not improve within two weeks of taking this medication, it is advisable not to use it for a long period. Taking this medication with anticholinergics may reduce its effectiveness, so care should be taken to space the dosages. Pregnant women or women of childbearing potential should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks, and during breastfeeding, administration should be avoided or breastfeeding should be discontinued if unavoidable. The safety of this medication in children has not been established, so caution is warranted, and elderly patients may require monitoring and dosage adjustment due to possibly decreased kidney and liver function. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container may compromise quality and safety, so care should be taken.
