Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to the ingredients in this medication or sulfonamide drugs, or those with severe liver impairment, cholestatic liver cirrhosis, or biliary obstruction should not take this medication. Patients with severe renal impairment, hypokalemia, hyponatremia, or hypercalcemia should also avoid using this medication due to electrolyte abnormalities. As this medication has a blood pressure-lowering effect, it should be used cautiously in states where hypotension may occur, such as electrolyte imbalances, liver impairment, renal impairment, elderly patients, and those with heart failure. The hydrochlorothiazide component may cause photosensitivity, increasing the risk of skin cancer, so it is important to use sunscreen and regularly check skin condition while taking this medication. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Potassium supplements or potassium-containing salts should not be used without consulting a doctor, and blood pressure, renal function, and electrolyte levels should be regularly monitored. This medication can interact with other antihypertensive drugs, diuretics, lithium, NSAIDs, etc., so if you are taking other medications, it is essential to inform your doctor or pharmacist. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, arrhythmia, and electrolyte abnormalities may occur, so immediate medical assistance should be sought. Store this medication out of the reach of children, and keep it in its original container, avoiding moisture.
