This medication is used for the treatment of male pattern hair loss and female pattern hair loss, also known as androgenetic alopecia. It is particularly available in concentrations of 2%, 3%, and 5%, and the therapeutic effects vary by concentration. It helps to improve the thinning and loss of hair caused by hair loss, promoting healthy hair growth. Continuous use is expected to provide sustained treatment effects for hair loss. This medication is effective in improving the hair health of patients with androgenetic alopecia.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

1) After completely drying the hair and scalp, apply 0.5 to 1 g (gel form) or 0.5 to 1 mL (liquid form) of this medication to the affected area twice a day (morning and evening) for at least 4 months. 2) The total daily dose should not exceed 2 g for gel form, or 2 mL for liquid form. Precautions

This medication should preferably not be used by women with a 5% concentration, and should not be used by children under 18 years of age. Pregnant women, those who may become pregnant, and breastfeeding women can only use products at 2% or 3% concentration restrictively. Individuals who have experienced allergies or hypersensitivity reactions to this medication or its components should avoid its use. Those with heart or vascular diseases should consult a specialist before using this medication, and it is also safest not to use it if the hair loss is not genetic. If there are issues like inflammation, infection, irritation, psoriasis, or burns on the scalp, this medication should not be used. If using other scalp medications or if the scalp is shaved, it is advisable to avoid using this medication. If there is poor tolerance to the 2% product, the use of the 5% product is not recommended. For hair loss after childbirth, only the 2% or 3% product should be used restrictively. During the use of this medication, do not use topical corticosteroids, retinoids, petroleum jelly, etc., as well as note that there may be an increased risk of orthostatic hypotension if taking vasodilators. Elderly patients over 55 years, those with edema, or individuals with thyroid dysfunction must consult a specialist before using this medication. If during use skin itching, redness, scalp irritation, worsening hair loss, cardiac symptoms, breathing difficulties, dizziness, hepatitis, swelling, or other abnormal reactions occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. This medication can affect the heart if excessively absorbed, so it is important to have sufficient consultation with a doctor or pharmacist before use. If a dose is missed during use, do not supplement that dose and resume normal usage at the next dose. This medication is not effective for hair loss or skin diseases caused by specific causes, so it is advisable to use it after accurately identifying the cause of hair loss. Severe cardiovascular side effects can occur with excessive use, so do not exceed the recommended dosage, and consult a specialist immediately if abnormalities appear. This medication is for topical use on the scalp only and should not be applied to other areas. Avoid using any occlusive dressing and ensure it does not come into contact with the eyes or sensitive areas. After use, wash hands thoroughly, and hairstyling products should be used only after this medication has completely dried. It is advisable to avoid using a hairdryer for scalp ventilation.
