Precautions

This medication contains lactose, so it should not be used by individuals with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. During treatment with this medication, side effects such as diarrhea, loose stools, dry mouth, and fatigue may occur. There is also a risk of liver function impairment; if liver enzyme levels become abnormal, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. In rare cases, severe liver issues such as acute hepatitis or jaundice may occur, so body conditions should be closely monitored. Other adverse reactions, such as rash, urticaria, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and palpitations, may also occur. If gastrointestinal symptoms do not improve after taking this medication for more than 2 weeks, it is advisable to stop using it. Co-administration with anticholinergics may reduce the effectiveness of this medication, so precautions should be taken when using both medications together. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully weigh the benefits and risks of this medication, and if breastfeeding, should avoid use or stop breastfeeding, as the drug can be transferred to breast milk. The safety of this medication has not been fully established for children or the elderly, so extreme caution should be exercised, especially in the elderly, while monitoring renal and liver functions closely. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and it is safer not to transfer it to another container. Animal studies have shown an increased risk of tumors in the liver and thyroid when taken at high doses for a long time, so it should be taken with caution under a doctor's guidance for long-term use.
