Adult dose

Precautions

This medication may rarely cause diarrhea or loose stools, dry mouth, and lethargy during use. It may affect liver function, so if serious symptoms like hepatitis or jaundice occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a physician. Be cautious of hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes, urticaria, or edema. Regular blood tests are recommended as eosinophilia or leukopenia may occur. Digestive system symptoms may include abdominal distention, nausea, vomiting, and taste disturbances. Since liver enzyme levels may increase, periodic liver function tests are advisable. Neurological symptoms such as palpitations, dizziness, headaches, and tremors may also rarely occur. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for more than 2 weeks, long-term use should be avoided. This medication may reduce effectiveness when taken with anticholinergics, so caution is advised to space out dosing. For women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, the administration of this medication should be carefully considered, and if breastfeeding, use should either be avoided or breastfeeding should be discontinued. Safety for children has not been adequately established, so use is not recommended. Older adults should be closely monitored for renal and liver function decline, and dosage adjustments may be necessary if adverse reactions occur. Keep out of reach of children, and avoid transferring the medication to other containers. Animal studies have shown an increased risk of tumors in the liver and thyroid with high-dose long-term administration, so caution is needed with prolonged use.
