Precautions

This drug must not be administered to children or women. In particular, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should not touch broken pieces of this medication as it can be absorbed through the skin and harm male fetuses. During the use of this drug, depression or mood changes may occur; if these symptoms arise, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. Administering this drug to pregnant women poses a risk of abnormalities in male fetal genital development, so it must not be taken. Individuals with known allergies to this drug or its components should avoid its use. Patients with liver dysfunction should use this drug cautiously and must consult a physician if any adverse reactions occur. During treatment, erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, or ejaculation disorders may occur, and these symptoms usually resolve upon stopping the medication. Rarely, side effects such as breast tenderness or enlargement, skin rash, myalgia, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts have been reported. If any breast changes, pain, or nipple discharge occurs during treatment, it must be reported to a physician immediately. This drug has few interactions with other medications, but caution should still be exercised when using it with other drugs. Pregnant women or nursing mothers should not take this drug, and whether it is excreted in breast milk is not known. The safety and efficacy of this drug in children have not been established, so it should not be given to them. For elderly patients over 65 years, specific dosage adjustment is not required, but there is insufficient research on its efficacy in this population. During treatment, there may be a decrease in prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels, requiring careful interpretation of test results. There is no specific antidote for overdose, and this medication should be stored out of reach of children. Long-term use of this drug is not associated with a high risk of carcinogenicity, but rare reports of male breast cancer have been noted. If any unusual symptoms occur during treatment, immediate consultation with healthcare personnel is required.
