Individuals with an allergy to this medication or similar drugs, lactating women, patients with severe liver dysfunction, patients with severe aortic stenosis, and those in a state of shock should not take this medication. Additionally, patients with severe hypotension, very poor renal function requiring dialysis, the elderly, and pregnant or potentially pregnant women should take special care when using this medication. While taking this medication, various side effects may occur. Common side effects include facial flushing, fatigue, swelling, palpitations, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, abdominal pain, and nausea. Rarely, blood pressure may drop too low, causing neurological disturbances, gastrointestinal issues, skin rashes, or liver function abnormalities, so if any unusual symptoms occur, consult a doctor immediately. Patients with heart failure may experience increased symptoms of pulmonary congestion with long-term use of this medication, so care is needed. Patients with impaired liver function may need to adjust the dosage as the breakdown of the medication may slow. As this medication takes time to show effects, it is not suitable for acute heart problems. While it is known not to significantly affect driving or machine operation, care should still be taken due to possible side effects like dizziness. This medication may interact with other drugs. Taking it with grapefruit juice may increase its blood pressure-lowering effects, so it is advisable to avoid this combination. Moreover, when taken with specific antibiotics or other medications, there is a risk of overly low blood pressure, thus it should be taken as directed by a doctor. The safety of this medication has not been established for pregnant women, and it is recommended that breastfeeding women discontinue nursing, as the medication may pass into breast milk. Use is only possible in children over 6 years old, as safety and efficacy in younger ages have not been confirmed. In case of overdose, severe drops in blood pressure and increased heart rate may occur, which requires immediate emergency treatment. This medication is not removed by hemodialysis. Therefore, it is essential to follow the doctor's instructions when taking this medication and consult immediately if any unusual symptoms occur.
