  • Hypertension
View approved original text

You are in a state of hypertension where blood pressure control is insufficient with monotherapy. In this case, it is important to manage blood pressure more effectively through additional medication or combination therapy. Proper treatment helps stabilize blood pressure and reduce the risk of complications. These medications are used in the treatment of hypertension.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus, especially when taken during pregnancy, particularly in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This medication should not be used in patients with certain conditions; for example, patients with anuria, those allergic to certain drugs, patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment, and pregnant women should not take this medication. Additionally, this medication should be used cautiously in patients with hypotension or impaired renal function, those with hyperuricemia or gout, and elderly patients, as there may be an increased risk of skin cancer. Sunlight exposure should be avoided and skin conditions should be routinely checked. During treatment with this medication, blood pressure, electrolyte levels, and renal function should be regularly monitored to ensure there are no abnormalities, as electrolyte imbalances such as hypokalemia or hyperkalemia may occur. This medication can interact with other drugs, so it is essential to consult a physician when taking it alongside potassium supplements, potassium-containing medications, certain diuretics, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Dizziness, drowsiness, coughing, and allergic reactions may occur during treatment; if any of these symptoms develop, inform your medical provider immediately.
