This medication should not be used in patients who have allergic reactions to α-lipoic acid or other excipients. Additionally, due to the lack of clinical experience regarding safety and efficacy in children and adolescents, it should not be administered in these age groups. While taking this medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur rarely. Allergic reactions such as skin rashes, hives, and itching may also happen. There is a rare possibility of symptoms of hypoglycemia such as dizziness, sweating, headache, and vision problems due to lowered blood sugar. When taken with diabetic medications or insulin, it may lower blood sugar further, so blood sugar levels should be checked frequently and hypoglycemic symptoms should be monitored. If necessary, the dosage of diabetic medications may need to be adjusted. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medication cautiously after consulting a physician, due to insufficient information regarding its safety. In case of overdose, severe intoxication symptoms may occur, leading to perilous conditions such as impaired consciousness, seizures, hypoglycemia, and multi-organ failure. If an overdose is suspected, you should seek appropriate treatment at a hospital immediately. This medication should not be stored at temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius and should be kept in a safe place out of the reach of children.
