Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Do not use if you have an allergy to any components of this medication, or have certain kidney dysfunction, liver impairment, electrolyte imbalance, hyperuricemia, gout, severe kidney impairment, or anuria. Patients with hypotension or kidney problems should use this medication with caution, as blood pressure may drop sharply and they should follow their doctor's instructions. This medication can alter potassium levels, so caution is needed if taken with potassium supplements or medications containing potassium due to the risk of hyperkalemia. Due to the hydrochlorothiazide component, electrolyte imbalances, liver function abnormalities, elevated blood sugar, skin reactions, and rarely, serious skin diseases may occur, so regular blood tests and monitoring for symptoms are necessary. During the use of this medication, symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, cough, rash, swelling, and indigestion may arise, and if symptoms are severe or persistent, consult a doctor. Particularly, exposure to sunlight may increase the risk of skin cancer, so it is important to use UV protection and regularly check skin condition. This medication has insufficient experience in children and adolescents, so it is not recommended for use in these populations. Elderly patients may experience side effects more frequently, so careful monitoring is needed when taking this medication. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur while driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised, particularly during the initial dosing or when changing doses. Overdosage may manifest as hypotension, tachycardia, etc., so the prescribed dosage must be strictly adhered to, and if any abnormal symptoms occur, seek medical attention immediately. Do not take potassium supplements or potassium-containing products without consulting a doctor during the use of this medication and be sure to inform your doctor about any medications you are currently taking due to the possibility of interactions.
