This medication is used to treat gastrointestinal ulcers such as gastric and duodenal ulcers. It also alleviates the symptoms of erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease and is effective for long-term maintenance therapy of gastroesophageal reflux disease. It can be combined with antibiotics for patients with gastrointestinal ulcers infected with Helicobacter pylori, and is also used to treat conditions characterized by excessive gastric acid secretion, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. This drug helps with the treatment of various gastrointestinal disorders and alleviation of symptoms.

Gastric ulcer can be treated for a maximum of 8 weeks; duodenal ulcer for a maximum of 6 weeks. For erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: Take 10 mg or 20 mg once daily for 4 to 8 weeks. If not treated after 8 weeks, an additional 10 mg or 20 mg can be taken twice daily.
