Adult dose
Typically, for adults, rabeprazole sodium is taken orally once daily at 10 mg. Depending on symptoms, it may be taken at 20 mg once daily. Erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: 10 mg or 20 mg once daily for 4 to 8 weeks. If not treated, an additional 8 weeks of 10 mg or 20 mg may be given.

This medication is used for the treatment of gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers, is effective for symptom relief of erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease, and is also useful for long-term maintenance therapy. Additionally, it helps treat patients with gastrointestinal ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori when used in combination with antibiotics. It is also used to improve symptoms in conditions associated with excessive gastric acid secretion, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. This drug is widely used for the treatment and symptom relief of various gastrointestinal diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, for adults, rabeprazole sodium is taken orally once daily at 10 mg. Depending on symptoms, it may be taken at 20 mg once daily. Generally, it is administered for up to 8 weeks for gastric ulcers and up to 6 weeks for duodenal ulcers. Precautions

This drug should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this medication or any of its ingredients or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions.
