Precautions

This drug should not be administered to certain patients. For example, patients who have allergies to this drug or its ingredients, those who have experienced hypersensitivity reactions, patients allergic to certain antibiotics, patients currently taking specific heart-related medications, pregnant or nursing women, and patients taking certain antiviral drugs should not use this drug. Patients with liver dysfunction or elderly patients, patients with a history of drug allergies, and patients sensitive to certain dyes contained in this drug should use this drug with caution. While taking this drug, allergic reactions such as skin rash or itching may occur, and if such symptoms arise, the medication should be discontinued immediately. Additionally, regular blood tests are necessary as red blood cell or white blood cell counts may change. Liver function tests should also be performed regularly, and if abnormalities are found, immediate consultation with a physician is required. Various side effects may occur, including heart-related issues, gastrointestinal symptoms, headaches, insomnia, respiratory problems, muscle pain, skin abnormalities, vision changes, urinary tract issues, so any symptoms should be reported to medical staff. This drug may increase the risk of osteoporosis and fractures with long-term use, so bone health should be monitored closely when taking it for extended periods. Furthermore, long-term use may lower blood magnesium levels, necessitating magnesium supplementation and regular blood tests, if necessary. This drug may inhibit gastric acid secretion, increasing the risk of gastrointestinal bacterial infections; therefore, if diarrhea persists or worsens, immediate consultation with medical staff is required. Caution is necessary as drowsiness may occur while driving or operating machinery. This drug can interact with other medications, so it is essential to inform your doctor or pharmacist, particularly if you are taking warfarin, methotrexate, certain antibiotics, or antiviral drugs. This drug should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding as its safety has not been established. Elderly patients may have a higher risk of side effects due to decreased liver function, so any abnormal symptoms should result in immediate discontinuation of the drug or consultation with medical staff. The tablets should not be chewed or crushed, but swallowed whole, and kept out of reach of children. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so appropriate treatment should be provided based on symptoms; in general, symptoms are usually mild.
