Precautions

This medication is an eye drop containing Epinastine Hydrochloride as the active ingredient, used to relieve eye-related symptoms such as allergic conjunctivitis. This medication should not be used by patients who have an allergic reaction to Epinastine or additives. Use with caution in patients with impaired liver function, as adverse reactions have been reported more frequently in patients with liver disorders; however, dosage adjustment is not necessary at standard doses. Patients with reduced kidney function can use this medication without special dosage adjustments, but caution regarding safety is required. Mild adverse reactions such as burning or irritation in the eyes may commonly occur when using this medication, and rarely symptoms such as allergic conjunctivitis, conjunctival edema, or visual disturbances may also happen. If pain, swelling, or redness occurs in the eyes during use, consult a professional immediately. This medication is intended for topical use only and should not be injected or taken orally. Vision may be temporarily blurred after instillation, so it is safest to wait until vision clears before driving or operating machinery. Care should be taken to avoid contamination of the solution by not allowing the tip of the dropper to touch other surfaces. When using multiple eye drops, instill them at least 10 minutes apart to maintain effectiveness. The preservative benzalkonium chloride included in this medication may rarely cause damage to the cornea, so contact lens wearers should wait 10-15 minutes after instillation before wearing lenses and should not instill drops while wearing lenses. Avoid wearing contact lenses if the eyes are red, and this medication is not for treating lens-related irritation. The amount absorbed systemically is very low, so the potential for drug interactions is low; however, pregnant or breastfeeding women should use it with caution. No special dosage adjustments are needed for the elderly, but studies on safety are limited. Safety has not been established in children under 3 years old, so it is advisable not to use it for this age group, while safety and efficacy have been confirmed for those aged 12 and older. There is limited data on the use during pregnancy, so it is advisable to consult a physician before using it. No serious toxic symptoms have been reported from overdose, but care should be taken not to exceed the recommended dose. This medication works directly on the eyes to relieve allergy symptoms, and its effect lasts for at least 8 hours. It is important to maintain cleanliness during instillation, and consult medical personnel immediately if any unusual symptoms occur.
