Precautions

This drug is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug containing flurbiprofen, used for relieving inflammation and pain. This drug should not be used by individuals who have experienced allergic reactions to flurbiprofen or similar medications in the past. Particularly, individuals with a specific type of asthma known as aspirin-induced asthma or those who have had similar symptoms in the past may experience asthma attacks when using this drug, so they should avoid it. Patients with bronchial asthma should use this drug with utmost caution as it may increase the risk of asthma attacks. While using this drug, symptoms like redness or rash on the skin, itching, burning sensation, or contact dermatitis may occur; if such symptoms arise, use should be immediately discontinued. Furthermore, since this drug can trigger asthma attacks, if initial symptoms such as difficulty breathing, wheezing, or bubble sounds occur, use should be stopped. It is important to remember that this drug helps alleviate symptoms rather than directly treating the underlying causes of inflammation or pain. When applying this drug to areas with skin infections, the infection may not be outwardly apparent, so it should be used alongside antibiotics or antifungals for inflamed areas that are infected, and the condition should be carefully monitored. When using it for chronic conditions like degenerative arthritis, other therapeutic options should also be considered in addition to pharmacological treatment, and the patient's condition and side effects should be closely monitored. Particularly during the early and mid-pregnancy stages, this drug should only be used when absolutely necessary, and when it is used, the dosage should be reduced, and the treatment period should be kept as short as possible. In late pregnancy, this drug should not be used as it may harm the fetus's heart, lungs, and kidneys, and may prolong bleeding time for the mother and baby or delay labor. Children should not be recommended to use this drug as its safety has not been sufficiently confirmed. Elderly patients should use this drug cautiously, paying special attention to the condition of the skin where it is applied. This drug should not be applied to damaged skin or mucous membranes, or areas with eczema or rashes, and the sweating areas should be thoroughly wiped clean before application.
