How to take

Adult dose

The usual dosage of this medication is one tablet containing losartan potassium 50 mg / hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily. Treatment typically starts with one tablet containing losartan potassium 50 mg / hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily, and if blood pressure is not controlled after three weeks of administration, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 100 mg of losartan potassium.

Child dose

There is no experience in using this medication in children and adolescents; therefore, the combination of losartan and hydrochlorothiazide should not be administered to children and adolescents.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters. Therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This medication should not be administered to patients with certain allergic reactions, severe renal or hepatic dysfunction, or severe electrolyte imbalances.
