This medication should not be used in certain patients. It should not be taken if there is an allergy to this drug, its components, or similar types of medications. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and women who are breastfeeding, should avoid using this medication. Patients in shock with very poor cardiac function, severe aortic stenosis, unstable angina, patients within one month after myocardial infarction, patients with severe liver dysfunction, and patients with severe hypotension should avoid this medication. This drug should be used with caution in patients with very poor kidney function, elderly patients, patients with acute heart failure, patients in hypertensive crisis with suddenly very high blood pressure, and patients with mildly to moderately reduced liver function. Various side effects may occur when taking this medication. The most common side effects include flushing, fatigue, swelling, palpitations, dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, nausea, and drowsiness. Rarely, dry mouth, increased sweating, hypotension, vasculitis, insomnia, skin rash, liver function abnormalities, and allergic reactions may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms appear, consult a doctor immediately. Stopping the medication suddenly can worsen symptoms, so when discontinuing or reducing the dosage, it must be done gradually under the supervision of a physician. Patients with reduced liver function may have prolonged drug metabolism, thus requiring dosage adjustments, and the blood pressure-lowering effect may appear slowly, making it unsuitable for urgent blood pressure reduction. It should be taken with plenty of water, and due to blood pressure lowering, dizziness or fatigue may occur, so caution is advised when driving or operating hazardous machinery. This medication can interact with several other drugs, so particularly when taking it with certain antibiotics, antihypertensives, analgesics, antidepressants, and grapefruit juice, a consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is recommended. It is safest for pregnant or breastfeeding women to avoid taking this medication, and breastfeeding should be discontinued if necessary. This medication can be used for children aged 6 and older, but safety and efficacy have not been established for children under 6 years of age. Elderly patients should start with a lower dose as the medication may remain in the body longer and should be taken cautiously. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension, cardiac abnormalities, shock, loss of consciousness, etc., may occur, requiring immediate emergency treatment, and gastric lavage or measures to inhibit drug absorption may be helpful. Finally, this medication should be kept out of reach of children and should not be transferred to another container.
