This drug should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity. It should also not be used in patients with myasthenia gravis. Additionally, since this medication contains lactose, it should not be given to patients with genetic disorders that impair lactose digestion. Caution should be exercised for patients with a history of drug hypersensitivity or liver function issues, as it may worsen liver function. This drug may rarely cause severe allergic reactions such as shock, so if symptoms occur, drug administration should be stopped immediately, and appropriate medical treatment should be provided. Regular monitoring of liver and kidney functions is necessary to observe for any abnormalities, and treatment should be stopped if any issues are detected. Blood abnormalities, such as anemia, can also arise, so attention to symptoms is warranted. Neurological side effects such as skin rash or itching, insomnia, drowsiness, headaches, and limb paralysis may occur. Gastrointestinal symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Urinary symptoms such as dysuria may occur, though rarely. Systemic effects may include fatigue, dizziness, and decreased muscle tone, so caution is required. Symptoms such as flushing of the face or sweating may also occur. This drug may rarely induce severe skin reactions, such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome. If symptoms like fever, erythema, blisters, itching, conjunctival injection, or stomatitis arise, usage should be discontinued immediately, and a medical consultation should be sought. If symptoms like fatigue, staggering, or drowsiness occur during administration, the dose should be reduced or discontinued. This drug may cause drowsiness and decreased attention, so operating a vehicle or handling hazardous machinery should be avoided. Caution is needed when co-administering with similar drugs such as tolperisone hydrochloride or methocarbamol, as visual disturbances may occur. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this drug when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. Breastfeeding women should avoid this drug if possible and, if it is absolutely necessary to use it, stopping breastfeeding is advisable. The safety of this drug in children has not been fully established, thus caution is needed in such cases. Elderly patients might have reduced bodily functions, so dosages should be adjusted appropriately.
