Precautions

This medication contains the active ingredient flurbiprofen and is used to relieve inflammation and pain. First, individuals who have had allergic reactions to flurbiprofen or similar medications should not use this. Especially, those who have experienced asthma attacks due to aspirin-induced asthma or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid this medication as it may exacerbate asthma symptoms. Patients with bronchial asthma should be very cautious when using this medication due to the risk of asthma attacks. If redness, rash, itching, burning, contact dermatitis, or other symptoms appear while using, discontinue use immediately. Also, if symptoms such as shortness of breath, wheezing, or difficulty breathing occur, it could be an asthma attack, so stop use right away and consult with a physician. This medication helps relieve symptoms but is not a treatment for the underlying cause; therefore, antibiotics or antifungal medications should be used alongside it if inflammation is present with infection, and the condition should be closely monitored. When used for chronic diseases such as degenerative arthritis, other treatment methods should also be considered in addition to medication therapy, and it is important to carefully monitor for side effects. It is advisable to avoid use in the early and mid-pregnancy unless absolutely necessary; if it must be used, the minimum dose for the shortest possible duration is safest. In late pregnancy, this medication should not be used as it can harm the fetus's heart and kidneys or cause complications during delivery. Its safety in children has not been adequately established, so its use is not recommended. Elderly individuals should use caution as their skin may be more sensitive, and the area where the patch is applied should be carefully checked. Finally, this medication should not be used on damaged skin or mucous membranes, or in areas with eczema or rash, and it is important to wipe away sweat before applying the patch.
