Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus when taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters. Discontinue use immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with hypersensitivity, certain electrolyte imbalances, or severe liver or kidney dysfunction should not take this medication. Patients with hypotension or kidney function problems, as well as those with a history of liver disease, should take this medication with caution and undergo regular blood tests and health checks during treatment. As this medication lowers blood pressure, symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, and orthostatic hypotension may occur, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Do not take potassium supplements or potassium-containing salt substitutes without consulting a physician while on this medication; inform healthcare providers about any other medications to avoid potential interactions. Due to the hydrochlorothiazide component, the skin may become sensitive to sunlight, so avoid sun exposure, and consult a physician immediately if any skin abnormalities occur. Safety and efficacy of this medication in pediatric and adolescent populations have not been established, so it is not used in these groups. Elderly patients may experience more frequent adverse reactions while taking this medication, requiring careful monitoring by healthcare providers. If any adverse reactions occur during treatment, consult a physician immediately, especially for symptoms of hypotension, edema, rash, or respiratory distress, which require prompt action. Store this medication out of the reach of children, and keep it sealed in its original container.
