How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

  • Severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mouth/eyes mucous membranes
  • Jaundice (skin or eyes turning yellow), intrahepatic cholestatic jaundice
  • Severe lethargy
  • Sudden and very severe headache, migraine, seizures, confusion

Mild side effects

  • General: Abdominal pain, weakness/fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, headache, malaise, fever, syncope, hypotension
  • Cardiovascular: Palpitations, angina, arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, sinus bradycardia, tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation), cerebrovascular accidents, myocardial infarction, secondary atrioventricular block
  • Gastrointestinal: Anorexia, constipation, toothache, dry mouth, dyspepsia, flatulence, gastritis, vomiting, dry mouth, gastrointestinal irritation, pancreatitis
  • Musculoskeletal: Back pain, arm pain, joint pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia

Storage

This medication is sensitive to light; therefore, it must be stored in a special container that prevents light exposure. Additionally, it should be stored at room temperature, ideally between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius.
