Improvement of skin symptoms such as eczema, dermatitis, and urticaria
This medication is used for various skin diseases such as eczema, dermatitis, urticaria, pustular psoriasis, and psoriasis.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1-2 times a day, adjusting as necessary based on symptoms. This medication is a potent corticosteroid and should not be used continuously for more than 2 weeks or more than 50g (50mL for liquid formulation) in one week.
This medicine should not be used in patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals as it may worsen symptoms. Additionally, patients allergic to this medication or its components, as well as those with a history of hypersensitivity, should avoid its use. It is also contraindicated in patients with perforated eardrums, ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, as skin healing may be delayed. Patients with scalp infections, perioral dermatitis, common acne, specific skin diseases, anal or genital itching, and infants under 24 months are also advised against using this medication. Pregnant women, women of childbearing potential, nursing mothers, children, the elderly, patients with impaired liver function, or diabetes should use this medication with caution. If there is an infection in the skin, appropriate antibacterial or antifungal treatment should be administered before or in conjunction with this medication. This medication can cause various side effects on the skin, including infections, skin irritation, itching, rash, dry skin, and allergic reactions, so use should be discontinued if symptoms are severe. Long-term use may lead to skin atrophy, vascular dilation, pigmentation changes, and acne-like symptoms, so it's recommended to gradually reduce the dosage or switch to another medication. Moreover, if this medication is used extensively or with occlusive dressings, systemic side effects such as pituitary function suppression, Cushing's syndrome, and increased blood sugar levels can occur, making short-term use preferable. When applying around the eyes, caution is needed as serious eye diseases such as increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, and cataracts may occur, and direct contact with the eyes should be avoided. If symptoms do not improve or worsen during treatment, use should be stopped immediately. Pregnant women should use this medication only on the smallest area possible and for the shortest duration to avoid effects on the fetus, and nursing mothers should ensure that the infant is not exposed to the drug. Children are at a higher risk for side effects due to greater drug absorption relative to body weight, so long-term use should be avoided, especially in infants under 24 months. The elderly are at a higher risk for side effects, necessitating careful observation during large or prolonged use. Overuse or misuse of this medication can lead to serious side effects such as adrenal insufficiency, so dosage should be gradually reduced or stopped under a physician's instruction. This medication should not be used directly in the eyes, and use for non-therapeutic purposes such as after makeup or shaving should be avoided; occlusive dressings should only be used under medical supervision. Make sure that the area treated does not exceed 20% of the body surface area, and it is important to wash hands thoroughly after use. Store in a place out of reach of children, and keep it in its original container to prevent misuse or degradation of quality.
