It is primarily used for the treatment of various bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, folliculitis, furunculosis, and infectious eczema. Additionally, it helps improve bacterial infections that occur in traumatic or burn areas. It is useful for quickly treating various bacterial infections of the skin to alleviate symptoms. This drug is used as an effective treatment option for skin infections.
Apply a small amount to the infected area 2-3 times a day for 10 days. If necessary, dressing or sealing the applied area can be done.
This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity or allergies to its components. Patients with impaired renal function should be cautious as the ingredients in this medication may accumulate in the body. It is safest for pregnant women or those who may become pregnant to avoid using this medication. It is also recommended that breastfeeding women do not use this medication. Prolonged use on deep wounds or damaged skin should be avoided due to the risk of immunosuppression. This medication may cause skin reactions such as burning, pain, itching, rash, and redness. Rarely, symptoms like nausea, dry skin, swelling, and contact dermatitis may occur, and severe allergic reactions have also been reported. If severe irritation or allergic symptoms appear on the skin, discontinue use immediately, wash the area thoroughly, and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication should be used only for the necessary duration after confirming the susceptibility of the infecting bacteria to prevent the emergence of resistant strains. With prolonged use, there is a risk of excessive growth of other microorganisms such as fungi, so caution is required. If symptoms do not improve after 3 to 5 days of use, consult a professional. When using on the face, be careful to avoid contact with the eyes. No side effects that affect driving or the ability to operate machinery are known. Using this medication with others may reduce its effectiveness or stability due to interactions. Due to a lack of sufficient data regarding safety for pregnant or breastfeeding women, it is advisable to avoid use in these circumstances. Though toxicity from overdosing is low, areas where the medication is excessively applied should be washed clean and treated appropriately. This medication is a topical ointment meant only for skin application and should not be used on mucous membranes such as the eyes or nose. It is advisable not to use it on central venous catheter insertion sites. Keep out of reach of children, and it is important to avoid transferring it to other containers for quality maintenance.
