How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage for adults is 50 mg orally once daily at the same time, regardless of meals. The maximum blood pressure-lowering effect usually appears 3 to 6 weeks after treatment initiation. Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Patients with hypersensitivity to this drug, severe liver dysfunction, hereditary angioedema, primary hyperaldosteronism, etc., should not take this medication. Elderly patients, those with hyperkalemia, liver dysfunction, valvular heart disease, and renal impairment should use this drug cautiously, paying particular attention to prevent excessive blood pressure reduction. Rapid drops in blood pressure may cause dizziness and shock symptoms; if these occur, the medication should be stopped immediately and medical advice obtained. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur during driving or operating machinery while taking this drug, so caution is required. This medication should not be used in children, especially those under 6 years of age, as its safety and efficacy have not been adequately established. Overdose may lead to hypotension and tachycardia, and appropriate emergency treatment may be necessary. It is not recommended for breastfeeding women, and if it must be taken, breastfeeding should cease.
