This medication is used to alleviate inflammation and pain in joints, such as in rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. It is also effective for symptoms caused by pericapsulitis of the scapulohumeral joint, tooth pain, and post-traumatic inflammation. It helps relieve pain such as low back pain and sciatica and is also used for pain management due to non-articular rheumatism.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 100 mg once every 12 hours, twice a day. Do not chew or crush the tablet; take it whole. Adjust the dosage as appropriate according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions from this medication, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Precautions

Those who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily are at increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when taking this medication, so it is necessary to consult with a physician or pharmacist. Individuals at risk for heart or cerebrovascular diseases should use this medication cautiously as it may cause serious cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke. Patients with cardiovascular risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, or smoking should receive treatment with the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration, and their symptoms and reactions should be reviewed regularly. Individuals with gastrointestinal problems or a history of peptic ulcers or bleeding should be cautious, as this medication can cause serious issues such as bleeding, ulcers, or perforation in the stomach or intestines. Elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal disorders should use this medication more cautiously due to an increased risk of gastrointestinal adverse reactions. Patients with active peptic ulcer or bleeding, those allergic to this medication or similar drugs, patients with severe heart failure or very poor kidney and liver function, as well as pregnant women in the later stages and breastfeeding women should not take this medication. Patients with kidney or liver function problems or heart failure and hypertension should take this medication with special caution, closely observing their condition before and after administration. This medication may cause various side effects such as dizziness, gastrointestinal discomfort, elevated liver enzymes, skin rashes, etc., and if symptoms occur, medical consultation should be sought immediately.
