Precautions

This medication can cause severe harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters; therefore, it should not be used by pregnant women or those who may become pregnant. Patients with allergic reactions to this medication, severely impaired liver function, history of angioedema, or specific genetic disorders should not use this medication. Elderly patients, those with kidney dysfunction, and patients with hyperkalemia should use this medication with caution, as there is a risk of rapid drops in blood pressure, and their conditions should be closely monitored. Although this medication is generally safe to use, side effects such as muscle cramps, dizziness, and upper respiratory infections may occur, and in severe cases, serious adverse reactions like angioedema or renal failure may arise. During the administration of this medication, liver and kidney functions, as well as serum electrolyte levels, should be regularly monitored to ensure no abnormalities, especially regarding the potential occurrence of hyperkalemia. When taken in conjunction with other antihypertensive agents or potassium-sparing diuretics and potassium supplements, interactions may lead to hyperkalemia or worsening kidney function, so it is essential to consult a doctor. This medication is not recommended for nursing women, and if it must be taken, discontinuation of breastfeeding is advised. In cases of overdose, hypotension or cardiac arrhythmias may occur; therefore, adherence to dosage is essential, and immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary should any abnormal symptoms arise.
