This medication is used in dermatology to improve the growth and nutritional disorders of brittle hair, nails, and toenails. Additionally, it helps support corneal wound healing in ophthalmology.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults take 4 tablets a day with meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with severely compromised kidney function or hepatic coma. Additionally, it should be used with caution in patients with a specific kidney disease known as cystinuria. This medication contains lactose and should not be administered to patients with genetic disorders such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. During administration, symptoms such as occasional nausea, rarely diarrhea, loss of appetite, thirst, mild abdominal pain, and abdominal bloating may occur. Long-term use of vitamin B6 at doses ranging from 50 mg to 2 g per day may cause peripheral nerve abnormalities, so caution is advised. It is essential to follow the prescribed dosage and administration exactly as directed by a physician. This medication should not be taken with Levodopa since vitamin B6 can reduce the effectiveness of Levodopa. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for about one month, consult a physician or pharmacist. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children, and it is recommended to store it in a tightly sealed container away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. Also, transferring the medication from its original container to another container may lead to improper use or degradation of quality, so it must be kept in its original container with the lid tightly closed.
