Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, and should not be taken by pregnant women or those who may become pregnant. This medication should not be used in patients with severely impaired liver function, certain hereditary diseases, or specific kidney diseases. Elderly patients, those with reduced kidney function, or patients at risk of hyperkalemia require extra caution when using this medication, and their condition should be closely monitored to ensure blood pressure does not drop too low. While this medication is generally safe, side effects such as muscle cramps, dizziness, and upper respiratory infections may occur, and in rare cases, serious allergic reactions or abnormalities in liver and kidney function may arise. During treatment with this medication, patients should have regular checks of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels to ensure there are no abnormalities, particularly as the risk of hyperkalemia necessitates avoiding potassium supplements or medications containing potassium. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive agents or certain medications; therefore, if you are taking other medications, you must inform your doctor or pharmacist. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur during treatment, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, and you should consult with healthcare professionals if symptoms are severe. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid taking this medication; if it is necessary to take it, consult with a healthcare provider and discontinue breastfeeding. In case of an overdose, hypotension or cardiac rhythm abnormalities may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention. Children, especially those under 6 years of age or those with severely reduced kidney function, should not use this medication, and caution is also required when it comes to elderly patients.
