Prevention of infection through hand disinfection of surgeons and health care workers
This medication is used to disinfect the hands of surgeons and healthcare workers before surgery. It helps prevent infections in patients and maintain a safe surgical environment.
Apply the sponge absorbed with the solution to the surgical site or hands and elbows, and rub for 3 minutes. Pay special attention to the areas around the nails, epidermis, and between the fingers. Use a brush if necessary. Rinse with warm water and repeat washing for 3 minutes, then wash thoroughly with water and completely dry.
This product contains chlorhexidine gluconate and should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine. Hypersensitivity may cause allergic reactions or serious side effects. Do not use on critical nerve areas such as the brain, spinal cord, or ears, as direct application to these areas may risk hearing loss or nerve impairment. Use with caution on mucous membrane areas such as the vagina, bladder, or mouth. Severe reactions such as nausea, dizziness, or breathing difficulties may occur when applied to mucous membranes. Take great care to avoid contact with eyes, and if it does enter the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water. Contact with the eyes can cause severe corneal damage and visual impairment. Do not use on wounds with ulceration or suppuration. Patients with allergies to other medications or a history of allergic conditions like asthma should use this product cautiously. Severe shock reactions may rarely occur during use, so if symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, difficulty breathing, or skin redness occur, stop using immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Additionally, if allergic reactions like rash or hives occur, discontinue use, as life-threatening allergic reactions such as anaphylactic shock can also occur rarely. It is advised that pregnant or breastfeeding women do not use this product due to a lack of safety data for pregnant individuals. This product is for external use only and should never be taken orally or used as an injection. In case of accidental ingestion or injection, immediate emergency treatment is necessary. Avoid using on extensive wounds or burn areas, especially in premature or newborn infants, as the risk of systemic side effects is higher. This product may lose its antimicrobial effectiveness when in contact with soap or organic substances, so wash the area thoroughly before use. If diluted for use, clean distilled water is recommended, and the diluent should be sterilized before use. Diluted solution should be made fresh every day, and any remaining solution should be discarded. When storing, keep in a sealed container away from children, avoid exposure to direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place. This product can be absorbed by fabrics or gauze, so always ensure a sufficient concentration of solution is supplied during use.
