Precautions

This drug can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, particularly in the second and third trimesters, and should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It can affect kidney development in the fetus, potentially reducing amniotic fluid, which may increase the risk of lung development issues and skeletal malformations. Severe side effects such as impaired cranial formation, renal failure, hypotension, or anuria may occur in newborns, so it should never be used during pregnancy. This drug should not be administered to individuals with hypersensitivity, severe liver impairment, hereditary angioedema, or primary hyperaldosteronism, among others. Patients with genetic metabolic disorders such as galactose intolerance or lactase deficiency should also refrain from taking this medication. Particular caution is needed for diabetic patients or those with moderate to severe renal impairment, as the risk may increase when combined with certain medications. Elderly patients, those with hyperkalemia, and those with mild to moderate liver impairment should be administered with caution, and cardiovascular patients should be vigilant due to the risk of myocardial infarction or stroke caused by blood pressure reduction. Patients with reduced blood volume or renal artery stenosis should also use this drug carefully. While this medication generally has good tolerability, adverse reactions such as dizziness, headache, muscle pain, dyspepsia, cough, edema, and others may occur. Rarely, serious side effects such as angioedema, liver dysfunction, rhabdomyolysis, and hyperkalemia can occur, so if any abnormal symptoms appear, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. Patients with liver dysfunction may have increased blood concentration of this drug, so starting with a smaller dose is advisable. For patients with impaired kidney function, regular blood tests and monitoring of kidney function are required due to the risk of renal failure and hyperkalemia. If symptoms of too low blood pressure appear, discontinue use and seek appropriate medical attention. This medication may interact with other antihypertensives or certain diuretics and potassium-sparing agents, so it should be taken after consulting with a physician. Grapefruit juice may reduce the effectiveness of this medication, so it is best to avoid it during treatment. This medication is not recommended for breastfeeding women, and it is preferable to discontinue breastfeeding while taking it. It is not administered to children under 6 years of age or those with severe renal impairment due to insufficient safety data. During treatment, dizziness or drowsiness may occur, so caution is advised while driving or operating machinery. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension and cardiac arrhythmias may appear, requiring immediate medical attention, and treatment should be tailored to the symptoms. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers.
