This medicine quickly alleviates migraines, whether with or without aura symptoms. It also effectively reduces symptoms associated with migraine related to the menstrual cycle in women. Therefore, it is used to rapidly relieve the discomfort caused by migraines.

How to take

Adult dose

Administer 50 mg of sumatriptan orally as a single dose. In a small number of patients, a 100 mg oral dose may be necessary. After the initial dose, if symptoms return, a second dose can be administered, but the interval between doses should be at least 2 hours, and the total daily dosage should not exceed 300 mg within 24 hours. This medication should be taken whole with water.

Child dose

Precautions

This medication is used for the treatment of migraines and should not be administered to certain patients.
