Treatment of hypertension and kidney disease (in patients with type 2 diabetes)
This medication is used to treat hypertension. It is particularly helpful in preventing and treating kidney disease in patients with type 2 diabetes accompanied by hypertension. Therefore, it is actively used for managing complications related to hypertension.
For hypertension treatment, Losartan Potassium is administered as 50 mg orally once daily. If the therapeutic effect is insufficient, it may be divided into two doses daily or increased up to 100 mg once daily. For kidney disease in patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes, administer 50 mg once daily and increase to 100 mg if necessary. If there is a concern of excessive blood pressure lowering, an initial dose of 25 mg is recommended. In special patient groups,
