Jimedol Soft Capsule (Standardized Extract of Corn Silk)

Adult dose

Adults: The initial dose is 70㎎ (2 capsules) of unsaponifiable extracts of corn per dose, administered orally (taken) 3 times daily before meals. The maintenance dose is 35㎎ (1 capsule) per dose, administered orally (taken) 3 times daily before meals. Adjust the dose as appropriate according to age and symptoms.

This medicine should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to this medication or any of its ingredients. This medicine contains lactose and soybean oil, so those with lactose intolerance or allergies to soybean oil, soybeans, or peanuts should not use it. Before taking this medicine, consult with your doctor or pharmacist to check for allergies to azo dyes, acetylsalicylic acid, or other prostaglandin synthesis inhibitors. This medicine may interfere with the absorption of cholesterol medications, so caution is necessary for individuals currently taking cholesterol medications. Pregnant women, those who may become pregnant, or nursing mothers should consult an expert before taking this medicine, and it should only be used when the benefits of treatment are considered to outweigh the risks. This medication contains a yellow pigment, so individuals who are allergic or hypersensitive to dyes should consult an expert before taking it. Mild diarrhea or laxative effects may occur during treatment, and patients with asthma, chronic urticaria, or hypersensitivity to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may experience skin or respiratory symptoms, so caution is needed. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medicine for more than one month, discontinue use and consult an expert. Be sure to follow the prescribed dosage and administration, and avoid prolonged use. Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Medications should be stored in their original container, as transferring them to another container may lead to misuse or deterioration in quality.
