View approved original text

This medication is used as an adjunct treatment for patients with obesity who do not respond to appropriate dietary or exercise therapy. It is helpful for individuals with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, or those with a BMI of 27 or higher along with risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidemia. It supports short-term weight loss in conjunction with a calorie-restricted weight loss regimen and should be taken alone without other appetite suppressants. This aids in effectively facilitating weight loss.
