Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to clindamycin or a history of certain gastrointestinal diseases. It is not safe for use in pregnant women, nursing mothers, or children under 12 years old. It should be used cautiously on burned areas after first treating the burn. Irritation symptoms, such as redness, dryness, and burning, may occur on the skin, and if severe symptoms develop, use should be discontinued. Serious side effects, such as antibiotic-associated colitis, may occur; if diarrhea or abdominal pain persists, use should be stopped immediately and advice should be sought from a healthcare professional. Care must be taken when using in combination with other topical acne treatments, as skin irritation may increase. This medication can bleach hair and fabrics, so caution is advised. Use may increase skin sensitivity to sunlight, so it is recommended to avoid strong sunlight exposure and use sunscreen or protective clothing. It is not safe for pregnant or nursing women; special caution should be taken during breastfeeding. Overuse may worsen skin irritation, so adhere to the prescribed dosage, and if excessive use occurs, stop immediately and wait for the skin to recover. Safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established in children; use is not recommended for those under 12 years of age. Keep the medication out of the reach of children, use within two months after opening, and it is important to store it in its original container.
