Precautions

This medication must be used strictly according to a physician's instructions. When used with intravenous calcium-containing preparations, precipitates may form if mixed with ceftriaxone, so the same infusion device should not be used simultaneously. Patients with allergic reactions or specific electrolyte abnormalities, as well as those with heart, liver, or kidney diseases, should not use this medication. Pregnant or nursing women should exercise caution and use this medication under the physician's judgment, as safety has not been established. In children, especially infants under 2 years of age, safety has not been confirmed, and its use should be avoided. Elderly patients may have decreased bodily function, so the infusion rate should be slow, and the dosage should be adjusted. This medication contains a high concentration of glucose, which may cause hyperglycemia or electrolyte imbalance, so periodic monitoring of blood glucose and electrolyte status during administration is necessary. Sudden discontinuation of administration may lead to hypoglycemia, so it should be reduced gradually. If any abnormal symptoms or allergic reactions occur during administration, use should be stopped immediately and consult a physician. This medication may cause venous irritation or thrombophlebitis during intravenous injection, so the injection site should be monitored closely. In cases of excessive administration, acidosis, fluid overload, electrolyte imbalance, etc., may occur, so dosage and infusion rates must be strictly adhered to. This medication should be properly mixed before administration and used quickly; any remaining solution after opening should not be reused. Storage should be at room temperature, and solutions that are damaged or discolored should not be used. When mixing this medication with other drugs, compatibility must be verified, and it should be mixed in a sterile state. Patients with a history of myocardial infarction are advised against using this medication.
