Treatment of male and female pattern hair loss
This medication is used for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia, which can occur in both men and women, specifically male and female pattern hair loss. Formulations are available in concentrations of 2%, 3%, and 5%, each concentration helps improve hair loss symptoms. This medication promotes hair growth and is effective in slowing the progression of hair loss. With consistent use, it can help reduce stress caused by hair loss and boost confidence. It improves hair loss treatment while ensuring safe use.
(Gel formulation) After completely drying the hair and scalp, apply 0.5 to 1 g of this medication twice a day (morning and evening) to the affected area for at least 4 months. The total daily dose should not exceed 2 g. This medication should be avoided by female patients using the 5% product. It is advisable not to use this medication in children under 18 years of age. Pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, and breastfeeding women should not use the 2% or 3% products. Individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients should refrain from using it. Patients with cardiovascular disease, such as coronary artery disease, arrhythmia, heart failure, heart valve problems, hypertension, or hypotension should avoid using this medication for safety. Individuals without a genetic predisposition to hair loss or those with sudden patchy hair loss should also avoid using it. If there are any abnormalities like inflammation, infection, irritation, psoriasis, or sunburn on the scalp, do not use this medication. Patients with unexplained hair loss or those currently using other scalp medications should refrain from using this medication concurrently. Avoid using this medication on shaved areas of the scalp, and individuals showing poor tolerance to the 2% product should also avoid the 5% product. If experiencing postpartum hair loss, the 2% and 3% products should be avoided. During the use of this medication, do not use topical corticosteroids, retinoids, petroleum jelly, or dithranol; using it in combination with vasodilators may exacerbate orthostatic hypotension. Elderly patients over 55 years have not had the safety and efficacy established, thus consultation with a healthcare professional is advised before use. Patients with edema or thyroid function abnormalities should also consult healthcare professionals before using this medication. If any adverse reactions occur such as skin itching, rash, inflammation, or scalp irritation while using this medication, stop immediately and consult a professional. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occur, as well as cardiovascular symptoms like chest pain or pulse changes, so caution is necessary. Respiratory distress, neurological symptoms, hepatitis, kidney issues, and allergic reactions may occur; inform a professional immediately if any odd symptoms arise. Excessive use of this medication may lead to cardiovascular side effects, so the prescribed dosage must be adhered to. This medication should not be used on areas other than the scalp, and occlusive dressings should not be employed. Take care to avoid contact with eyes or sensitive areas, and if contact occurs, rinse immediately with clean water. After use, wash hands thoroughly and avoid using hairstyling products until this medication has completely dried. Do not expedite drying with hair dryers or similar devices; natural drying is effective. This medication is flammable, so do not use it near flames or heat sources, and store it out of reach of children. Store in its original container, as transferring it to another container may lead to quality degradation or the risk of accidents.
