This medication helps supplement calcium deficiency and improve bone and dental developmental disorders. It also prevents rickets and effectively provides vitamin D during periods requiring it, such as pregnancy, lactation, growth, and old age. It is used to maintain and strengthen bone health through these effects.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 2 tablets once a day after meals.

Child dose

Take 2 tablets once a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (excess calcium in the blood), sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), or those with kidney disease. Additionally, individuals allergic to this medication or its components, infants under 12 months of age, kidney stone patients, and those with severe renal failure should not take it. It is important not to take this medication concurrently with other specific drugs such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids. Infants under 1 year of age, patients currently undergoing treatment, children receiving adequate sunlight and normal diets, pregnant women or those potentially pregnant, nursing mothers, premature infants and children, patients with heart or vascular issues, kidney impairment, hypoproteinemia, patients taking cardiac glycosides, and those with a history of kidney stones should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, flushing, arrhythmia, rash, gastrointestinal symptoms, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, or edema occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Furthermore, excessive use or prolonged use may lead to hypercalcemia or stones, and there is a risk of hyperkalemia when used with certain diuretics, thus caution is advised. Please adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and frequency and ensure parental supervision when administering to children. It is recommended to avoid tea containing tannins, such as green or black tea, before and after taking this medication. Store this medication out of reach of children, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, in a tightly sealed container, and it is important not to transfer it to other containers for quality maintenance.
