Therefore, patients with phenylketonuria, a hereditary disease that requires the restriction of phenylalanine intake, should not take this medication. The daily acceptable intake of aspartame is limited to less than 40mg per kg of body weight, so the minimum amount should be used. For example, a 60kg adult can take a maximum of 2.4g per day. Infants under 3 years old and children under 12 years old should not take this medication. Also, it is advisable not to take other medications such as antiemetics, cold medicines, antipyretics, antihistamines, sedatives, or cough expectorants while taking this medication. Individuals with a history of drug allergies, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, patients with glaucoma or urinary disorders, those taking other medications, patients with respiratory diseases such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis, and elderly individuals should consult a doctor, dentist, or pharmacist before taking this medication. If any allergic symptoms such as skin rash, redness, or itching or dry mouth appear while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Be sure to adhere to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and avoid administering it to children. This medication may cause drowsiness, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. If splitting one pouch for use, the remaining medication should be sealed well and used within 2 days, and it is advisable not to consume alcohol during the course of treatment. Epidemiological studies on the use of meclizine during pregnancy have reported no significant risks, but animal studies have observed the potential for fetal malformation, so caution is needed. Store this medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place, sealed tight. Do not transfer it to another container to maintain quality.
