How to take

Adult dose

As Sodium Alendronate, take 70 mg once a week in the morning at least 30 minutes prior to the intake of food, beverages, or other medications with a sufficient amount of water (170-230 mL). This medication should be taken immediately upon waking and must not be lying down for at least 30 minutes after taking it, and until the first intake of food. Taking food within 30 minutes after or simultaneously with the medication may reduce the absorption of the drug in the body.

Precautions

This medication may irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa, so patients with esophageal diseases, gastritis, duodenitis, ulcers, etc., should use it with caution. If symptoms such as difficulty swallowing, pain behind the sternum, or heartburn occur after taking the medication, it should be stopped immediately and a doctor should be consulted. Take this medication with a sufficient amount of water, and do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking it. The method of administration must be followed accurately. Patients with esophageal abnormalities, hypocalcemia, severe renal failure, pregnant or nursing women, and those with certain genetic disorders should not take this medication.
